Working principle of pressure reducing valve

A pressure reducing valve is a device that reduces the inlet pressure to a desired outlet pressure by throttling the opening and closing components, while maintaining a stable outlet pressure. When the pressure reducing valve leaves the factory, the regulating spring is in an uncompressed state. At this time, the main valve disc and the auxiliary valve disc are in a closed state. When in use, rotate the regulating screw clockwise to compress the regulating spring, causing the diaphragm disc to move and open the auxiliary valve disc. The medium enters the piston from hole A through the auxiliary valve seat to hole B. Under the pressure of the medium, the piston moves downward to push the main valve disc away from the main valve seat, allowing the medium to flow behind the valve. At the same time, it enters the lower part of the diaphragm through hole C. When the pressure behind the valve exceeds the set pressure, the diaphragm is pushed upward to compress the regulating spring, and the auxiliary valve disc moves in the closing direction, reducing the medium flowing into the upper part of the piston and the pressure. At this time, the main valve disc moves up and down under the force of the main valve disc spring, reducing the gap between the main valve disc and the main valve seat, and reducing the medium flow rate, causing the pressure behind the valve to drop to a new equilibrium. Conversely, when the pressure behind the valve is lower than the set pressure, the gap between the main valve disc and the main valve seat increases, and the medium flow rate also increases, causing the pressure behind the valve to increase and reach a new equilibrium.

A steam pressure reducing valve adjusts the flow rate of the medium by controlling the opening of the opening and closing components inside the valve body, reducing the pressure of the medium. At the same time, the opening of the opening and closing components is adjusted by the pressure behind the valve, keeping the pressure behind the valve within a certain range. In the case of continuous changes in inlet pressure, the outlet pressure is maintained within the set range to protect the subsequent living and production equipment.
